Wichita Falls Municipal Airport is a public and military use airport located five nautical miles (6 mi, 9 km) north of the central business district of Wichita Falls, a city in Wichita County, Texas, United States. The airport is joint use in that its runways and taxiways are shared with Sheppard Air Force Base. It is mostly used for military aviation due to the air force base located on site, but is also served by American Eagle with service to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a primary commercial service airport. As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 47,191 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 43,952 enplanements in 2009, and 44,296 in 2010.
